CAD Format Conversion
DWG, IGES, STEP, SLDPRT — we convert between CAD formats your tools accept. Accurate geometry, clean file structure.
[REVIEW: content pending from Alex]
We convert between CAD formats with geometry verification — not a blind file-format pass-through. Every conversion is checked for topological validity and geometry integrity before delivery. If conversion reveals issues in the source file, we flag them.
Common conversion paths
- DWG / DXF → STEP, IGES, SolidWorks, Inventor, PTC Creo
- IGES → STEP, SolidWorks SLDPRT, Inventor IPT, PTC Creo
- STEP → SolidWorks, Inventor, PTC Creo, Parasolid, IGES
- SolidWorks SLDPRT → STEP, IGES, Inventor, PTC Creo, Parasolid, STL
- Inventor IPT → STEP, SolidWorks, PTC Creo, IGES
- PTC Creo → STEP, IGES, SolidWorks, Inventor, Parasolid
- STL mesh to solid CAD conversion (quoted per project)
Native CAD systems we work in
We work with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, and PTC Creo native files. For other systems (CATIA, NX, Fusion 360), we deliver in neutral exchange formats (STEP, IGES, Parasolid) that all major CAD software can import.
Capabilities
- Assemblies up to 1000+ parts
- STL mesh to solid CAD conversion
- Topology and geometry validation on every conversion
Standards supported
- STEP AP203 (geometry only)
- STEP AP214 (geometry + color + layer)
- STEP AP242 (full PMI, GD&T, model-based definition)
- IGES 5.3
